Marcks (Roxy Hymen)
Nicole Marcks plays James’ quirky friend, Roxy, in 29th
And Gay. Currently, she stars as Lil in the official 25th Anniversary West Coast
Production of Last Summer At Bluefish Cove (GLAAD Nomination) at The L.A. Gay
& Lesbian Center: Executive Producers, Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner. In the
spring of 2004 Nicole debuted her self-written, solo show, “SEX LIFE:
My Journey Through Booty” for LIT!’s Solo Series, also at LAGLC.
As a member of the comedy group THOSE MEDDLING KIDS (fully improvised, genre-specific
plays), she has performed throughout L.A. and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Los Angeles theater includes Sir Peter Hall’s Romeo And Juliet at the
Ahmanson and Antigone at The Actor’s Gang. She has performed regionally
with Portland Center Stage, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Indiana
Repertory Theatre, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, among others. She studied
with the Groundlings, and is a graduate of The Juilliard School. Film: Spanish
Fly, Reaching Allison, and the highly acclaimed internet serial, The Money Shot.
Television: American Dreams, Crossing Jordan. Ms. Marcks continues to write
and perform in Los Angeles where she lives.
